Happiness, Health, Wisdom and Wealth

"The Owner's Manual for Your Life"

Happiness is not determined by what happens to you in life but how you react to what happens to you in life. - Doug Cardell

Wellness

Wellness thinking requires a shift in the direction of our thinking about health. The vast majority of people think about their health only when they are sick or injured. Wellness thinking shifts the attention from sickness to well, wellness. Wellness includes examining our life choices and our habits and investigating the long term effects on our health. People working toward wellness are far more likely to stop smoking, to avoid recreational drugs, to avoid exposure to environmental toxins like pesticides and insecticides. They are more likely to avoid artificial fragrances that often contain deadly chemicals. They are careful about sun exposure. They wear seatbelts in cars. They avoid excessive alcohol consumption and they never mix alcohol with driving or other inherently dangerous activities.
